Proofreading / Correction / Editing / Document review

Chemical precision for a flawless text.

Whether it is proofreading a translation or revising a text, we ensure everything is balanced, clear and error-free.
As part of our linguistic process, we examine every detail, remove any inconsistencies and refine the text to ensure clarity and precision.

What does proofreading mean?

Proofreading includes checking grammar and punctuation, comparing the translation with the source text to ensure nothing is omitted or added, and adjusting formatting where needed.

Proofreading focuses on identifying errors in language, structure and overall drafting. Drawing on their training and experience, the proofreader identifies errors and refines the text, shaping it into the appropriate form wherever intervention is necessary. They review the translation against the source text to ensure accuracy and consistency. While translation relies heavily on foreign language proficiency, proofreading is performed by specialists with an in-depth command of Romanian.

This service is priced at half the cost of translating a standard 2,000-character page (including spaces), provided the document is delivered in an editable format and does not require extensive intervention, as some cases may involve a full rewrite. If the document is submitted in hard-copy format, typesetting costs will be added to the proofreading or collation service.

In revision or editing, beyond the checks mentioned above, we carry out detailed terminology and stylistic reviews, as well as a thorough comparison between the source and target texts.

We recommend using these services before:

  • publishing novels, encyclopedias or any literary content;
  • releasing brochures, product presentations and similar materials;
  • publishing website content;
  • issuing press releases, reports or other public communications;
  • publishing annual or activity reports;
